Whether you pack beef, veal, mutton, lamb or pork, BONECOVER is the complete solution to several distressing problems with bone-in cuts. |
Problems with conventional boneguard have led to the use of boneguard bags - vacuum bags where the boneguard is built into the bag. These bags are expensive. BONECOVER plus a standard shrink bag costs about 40% less than a boneguard bag of equivalent size. In addition to this huge saving, using BONECOVER has reduced leaker rates in US plants from around 20% (one in five!) to less than 1% (one in a hundred). On this basis, BONECOVER will save about half of your packaging costs. No wonder BONECOVER is the largest selling boneguard in the world! |

| BONECOVER is tough, yet very flexible and conforms closely to the shape of the meat cut on which it is placed. BONECOVER has exactly the correct stickiness (called "tack") so that it adheres to the meat and itself, even in the cool atmosphere of a meat packing room. BONECOVER will therefore not move while the protected meat cut is being placed into the shrink bag, vacuumed and sealed. This saves time and removes a major cause of leakers. The photo at right shows a difficult-to-protect cut well protected by BONECOVER. |

BONECOVER attaches firmly to the vacuum bag during the heat shrink process, so when the product is opened for use, it peels cleanly off the meat and bone for convenient disposal. This contrasts with clear PVC boneguard which sometimes has to be cut off the bone. |
